Bill Forsyth earned a Bachelor’s degree (Summa Cum Laude, Bronze Tablet) in finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

He received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1991. Prior to co-founding Frontier One in 2024, Bill co-founded Frontier Partners in 1993 and led the firm in raising $60 billion in capital for 17 boutiques worldwide. Bill began his career at Brinson Partners and rose to Partner and Portfolio Manager. Bill is currently a Director of the University of Illinois Foundation and on the Board of Governors for Catholic Extension Society.  Formerly, Bill served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the University of Illinois Alumni Association and was on the Board of Trustees for Loyola Academy.  Bill has also served as a Director for Horizons for Youth, which helps children from low-resource areas of Chicago achieve success in school and life; Board Member of Mobile C.A.R.E. Foundation, an initiative focused on providing asthma, dental and medical care to underserved members of the Chicago community, and; Board Member of Tutoring Chicago, which provides one-on-one tutoring and high-quality programming to economically challenged children in Chicago. He is a Founder and Director of the New Frontiers Foundation, which provides Chicago youth from under-resourced neighborhoods with educational support.
